Operations
The 161 All-in-One can be operated in several ways. The essential basic functions may be controlled both on the device itself and also via the included infrared remote. Thus you may e.g. adjust the volume or halt the playback by a simple touch of a button without having to call up a menu. Furthermore the 161 All-in-One can also be taken from standby to operation mode with the infrared remote control. The complete operation of all functions is done via the iPad® app or with the web interface. Both applications are also developed in-house entirely.
161 All-In-One
The 161 All-in-One combines music server, CD player, network streamer, and integrated amplifier in one equally powerful and elegantly integrated system. Its proprietary software architecture, precisely tuned digital signal processing, and high-quality analog signal path ensure controlled musicality, sovereign dynamics, and a natural spatial imaging. At the same time, the operating concept via infrared remote control and app allows direct, comfortable access to music library, streaming services, and internet radio – all in the spirit of a consistently well-thought-out Burmester solution.
Design:
Immediately recognizable as a typical Burmester, the 161 All-in-One draws on characteristic design elements of the Top Line.
What makes the 161 so special:
- Musical, controlled sound character directly to your speakers – integrated amplifier section for confident dynamics and three-dimensional soundstage; designed for a harmonious, relaxed listening experience even with complex material
- Music server, CD player, and network streamer in one device – central management, playback, and archiving of digital music; seamless access to local content, streaming services, and internet radio without additional hardware
- Flexible digital processing with selectable upsampling to optimise playback quality; smoother sound and increased precision through controlled data reprocessing stages
- High-quality analog signal path with symmetrical design – low-noise analog architecture for maximum purity and naturalness; symmetrical signal routing for increased stability and reduced interference
- Precise digital processing through proprietary Burmester software – internally developed software tailored to the modified mainboard; exact data control and consistent sound quality through optimized system integration
- Smooth function for quiet listening – psychoacoustically balanced presentation at low levels; can be deactivated at any time if unaltered playback is desired
- Convenient control via IR remote, app, and web interface – basic functions directly on the device or via IR; full control via the iPad app or web interface, designed for intuitive and fast operation
- Timeless housing design made of solid aluminium – precise workmanship with high-quality materials; distinctive, durable design with clear language of forms, suitable for high-end living and listening environments
