NuPrime PRA-9X Preamp

The NuPrime PRA-9X is a fully balanced preamplifier designed for ultra-low distortion (THD+N of 0.0004%) that includes a MM phono input and a 6.3mm headphone output. There are a variety of settings for matching different MM cartridges.

NuPrime PRA-9X is a pre-amplifier with a fully balanced design and includes a MM phono input. The input and output use a special audio Relay Switch, which has the lowest interference and highly accurate transmission, to switch the source.

The phono input has a variety of settings for input resistors and capacitors to match different MM cartridges. PRA-9X phono amplifier is a 2-stage RIAA amplifier that utilises NJR MUSES8820 audio quality op-amp to provide an accurate RIAA curve and low distortion at high amplification and performance.

Line Outputs include four NuPrime’s new ultra-low distortion amplifier modules (THD=0.0004%) composed of MUSES8820 op-amp in a new amplifying circuit. It has excellent ultra-low distortion and high driving force characteristics.

Precision Volume Control

The PRA-9X features digitally controlled volume adjustment with fine 0.5dB steps and memory recall. It uses high-conductivity analog switches and integrates high-precision internal chip resistors. Unlike conventional digital attenuation, each volume step activates a dedicated analog switch, minimizing audio degradation and preserving sound quality.

This design delivers exceptional channel separation and ultra-low harmonic distortion, achieving outstanding performance with a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 114dB and total harmonic distortion (THD) of just 0.0004%. These characteristics ensure high-fidelity electronic volume control.

The system employs independent 4-channel volume control (L+/L-, R+/R-) for a true fully balanced architecture.
