The QED Reference XLR 40 cable features, unique Tri-Conductor technology. The cable has silver-plated conductors made of 99.999% oxygen-free copper with a calculated interweaving step of the conductors. Another innovation in this series is a specially impregnated PVC shell containing 10% zinc and manganese ferrite. It absorbs very high frequency noise signals and components of audio signals that are considered to have a negative impact on the micro-distribution of audio signal time. Low-modulus dielectrics, such as foamed polyethylene or Teflon, are used throughout the series to reduce the amount of audio signal loss due to cable capacitance.
