The ultimate companion in the competitive personal audio universe, thanks to the combination of one of ESS Technology's sophisticated Sabre D/A conversion chips and a top-quality integrated headphone amplifier, packaged in a sleek and compact chassis.
As a result, the most delicate recordings are reproduced with extreme precision and musicality from a wide range of modern and traditional sound sources via PCB-USB (32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256 support), coaxial/optical (24-bit/192 kHz), Bluetooth wireless (aptX HD) and analogue inputs with RCA connectors.
The internal headphone amplifier, meanwhile, is powered by a proprietary shielded toroidal transformer, accompanied by high-current output devices to deliver sensational dynamics with ultra-low distortion.
The DX-3 can also behave as a stand-alone DAC and preamplifier via its balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, thus extending installation flexibility by directly driving external amplifiers, active speakers and even an existing audio system.
A colour display on the front panel provides all the information the user may require and simplifies a powerful array of configuration options. In addition, the standard supplied aluminium remote control puts the power of the DX-3 in the hands of its owner and allows access to everyday functions.
