The TEMPO CK has an almost delicate appearance, cleverly concealing the sophisticated technology and intelligent engineering that make it an exceptional loudspeaker in its class. Its tall, slender cabinet, with its gentle backward tilt and tapered side panels, is far more than a distinctive design feature: it actively reduces cabinet resonances and prevents the formation of unwanted standing waves inside the enclosure. Harmful acoustic influences are thus minimized at their source – resulting in a reproduction characterized by clarity, precision and naturalness.

With the new TEMPO CK, Audio Physic continues the successful evolution of this loudspeaker. Proven design principles have been retained and further refined. At the heart of the new model are two completely redesigned drive units: a new TPCD tweeter (Thin Ply Carbon Diaphragm) and a newly developed midrange driver featuring an innovative Carbon-Kevlar diaphragm. Together, they provide the foundation for even greater resolution, finer detail retrieval and exceptionally natural musical reproduction.

The new TPCD tweeter features an extremely lightweight yet highly rigid diaphragm. This enables exceptionally precise transient response and outstanding resolution. Even the finest musical nuances and subtle sonic details are effortlessly revealed, without sacrificing naturalness or smoothness.

The midrange driver has also been completely redesigned. Its innovative construction deliberately dispenses with a conventional spider, reducing potential mechanical interference and allowing greater freedom of movement for the moving system. The new Carbon-Kevlar diaphragm combines high rigidity with low mass and excellent internal damping. The result is exceptionally precise and controlled reproduction throughout the entire midrange, delivering impressive transparency, expressiveness and natural vocal reproduction.

The sophisticated dual-basket construction of the midrange driver combines the specific advantages of different materials. While modern plastics offer excellent damping properties, die-cast aluminium provides the necessary stability and structural rigidity. This intelligent combination of materials effectively minimizes unwanted interactions between the moving system and the supporting driver basket. The result is exceptionally precise and interference-free driver operation – an essential prerequisite for the outstanding transparency and coherence of the TEMPO CK.

Two powerful bass drivers with rigid aluminium diaphragms are positioned directly opposite each other in the side panels of the TEMPO CK. Their arrangement and configuration in a so-called Push-Push design ensure symmetrical force distribution across the loudspeaker cabinet. This effectively minimizes unwanted cabinet vibrations. The carefully engineered bass chamber further contributes to precise and dynamic low-frequency reproduction. Instead of conventional bracing and traditional damping materials, open-cell ceramic foam is used. Its enormous internal surface area provides exceptionally effective damping, while its porosity of more than 85 percent minimizes the reduction of usable internal cabinet volume. This allows the TEMPO CK to combine a compact design with impressive bass control and precise transient response.

Audio Physic also applies meticulous attention to detail to the crossover networks and internal wiring. High-quality components, targeted protection against micro-vibrations and carefully optimized signal paths ensure that the musical signal reaches the drivers with the highest possible fidelity.

The result is a loudspeaker whose technical sophistication never becomes an end in itself, but serves one purpose above all: the music. The new TEMPO CK impresses with enhanced resolution, remarkable dynamics and an even finer rendering of musical detail. Voices gain body and expression, instruments retain their natural tonal character, and even the most complex musical passages remain transparent and clearly differentiated. The TEMPO CK stands on solid aluminium outriggers, ensuring easy positioning and a secure footing on virtually any floor surface. Integrated M8 threads allow the loudspeaker to be easily upgraded with Audio Physic VCF II Magnetic Plus feet. Their special construction enhances imaging accuracy and playback precision while simultaneously protecting delicate floor surfaces from scratches.

The connection terminal is equipped with premium WBT nextgen™ PlasmaProtect™ binding posts. These are connected to an aluminium base plate, also treated for resonance damping, via special structure-borne vibration dampers. Once again, micro-vibrations are specifically minimized.

For seamless integration into any living environment, the TEMPO CK features a magnetic attachment system for its front grilles.
